EDUCATION

Khmer Child Foundation offers free education to nearly 200 students year round. Your donations help us fund salaries to 5 rotating teachers, offering hands-on classroom instruction in three different daily shifts. Our current curriculum consists of mathematics and English as well as a blossoming fine-arts program, providing instruction in music and traditional Khmer dancing.

As of late 2011 and 2012, we were able to construct a building dedicated solely for sewing, offering equipment and instruction as well as a space to stock fabric and supplies. Other funding provided the construction of a small computer lab equipped with 10 laptops for tutorials. These life-skill instructional opportunities offer tremendous benefit in creating sustainable income for their future.

FRESH WATER WELLS

Fresh water is a basic necessity. Without it, the mortality of the children in the outlying villages diminishes dramatically. We understand that this most basic need is crucial to the vision we strive for in creating a better future for each Cambodian child. Part of our work involves scouting for areas within the outlying villages that are in the greatest need for fresh water. After quality control testing, we use local equipment to dig and install a number of wells each year.
